26th – 31st August – This was a hurriedly re-arranged holiday rally, as Whitby was unavailable due to waterlogged field.
94 vans made the trip to Redcar racecourse which was all hard standing, the weather was considerably better, and many members went into the town of Redcar which is only a short walk from the rally site. The vans parked round near the grandstand organised impromptu drinking parties, with the odd game of bingo and line dancing. Friday evening we had various quizzes which went down well, and had music provided by Graham. Saturday evening we had bingo, quizzes and musiv to dance to. Many thanks to Sue, Trevor, Keith and Chris for hosting, and Graham for the music.
5th – 7th September – This rally was held at Drax Social Club, near Selby, the weather was decidedly wet but never the less 16 vans made the trip. Friday evening members frequented the social club bar and enjoyed the food. Saturday morning was not as wet so a shuttle service by car was organised to take members into Selby to sample the delights of the Cricketers pub and other local hostelries and of course the shops. We had intended to have a knockout boules contest in memory of our dear friend and fellow member Len Hutchinson but the weather defeated us, it will be held at a later date. Saturday night we had bingo and a chip butty supper provided by the social club. Thanks to all who brave the bad weather.
