New Year Rally-Pickering

Sunday, after catching up on all the Christmas news in the afternoon we were all entertained by the group Reunited who had most people up by the end of the night with 50s 60s & 70s music.

Monday people ventured into Pickering, to pubs, shops & market. At night we had a free & easy with a game of bingo.

Tuesday some of us ventured onto the steam train to Goathland where we had a longer stay than planned when our rep from Clarks saga tours failed to get us out of the pub early enough to catch the train back. (Back to the pub for a further two hours).

People also ventured to Scarborough & Whitby on the bus.

This was followed by great entertainment from Sonya who also had most people off their seats & on the dance floor.

Wednesday, a steady day in preparation for the long evenings festivities.

The evening kicked off with a superb buffet, once again crafted by Keith & his many hard working helpers, much appreciated by all.

We were then entertained by our resident singer Keith Howland & Graeme with the disco, who saw us dancing well into the New Year, when we also had the arrival of a baby. (Looked very much like our Norman)

Thursday was a steady day recovering, at night we were well entertained by surprise artist Josh Doyle on the guitar. Playing many of the Shadows & other 60s hits. Thanks to him & granddad on the soundtracks. The previous nights buffet provided us again with another fine meal.

Many Thanks to the committee for hosting & organising this event, Keith & team for the buffet, Keith Howland, Graeme for the music every night & all the many helpers who made this an exceptional event.

51 vans in total attended.

Boston Spa

Friday night was a free & easy with bingo and a quiz.

Saturday people ventured into Boston Spa or caught the bus to Wetherby or Leeds.

At night Hot dogs were on the menu served up with a smile by Sue.

We were then entertained by a music quiz, thanks to Steve.

Big thanks to Sue & Dave for hosting & also all the helpers.

Welcome to first time ralliers Mr & Mrs Carrington.

28 vans attended, 24 Yorkshire & 4 E/Mids.
